I Still Believe

A story of my friend, a friend whom i'm really inspired by...

June 2008
S was running around looking for house and car. He was vey happy and excited. His wife and 2 year old daugther is coming. He hasnt seen them for a year. At the same time, he was serving in a Korean church, cell leading and worship leading. He was tired but he enjoyed every single moment. He always had a smile:) on his face.

He has a car and a house. His wife and daugther will be here in no time!

His wife and daugther are here! He had a housewarming party. His wife prepared a delicious, authentic Korean feast for us. His daugther running around the house, looking at all of us with curious eyes. It was a Happy Family!:)

We finished our exams! We passed! We are going into 4th year! S was still enjoying having his family around and serving the LORD with all his heart.

"I have something to tell you. S met a car accident. His wife passed away. He and his daugther are in hospital. The funeral is this weekend at.." These words continued to ring in my ears. Why did this have to happened? Are they ok? How did it happen?
I went to the funeral. The atmosphere was gloomy. People were crying. I looked arond for S but i couldnt see him. I stayed closed to the people I know in hope of finding some comfort. Then, i saw him. He was in a wheelchair. He looked tired, listless. It didnt looked like him. As this wife was cremated, he cried....broken and devastated.
We didnt speak to him.

May 2009
We met him again. He is well. He is going back to Korea with his daugther. But this is not the end. He is going to the Phillippines to learn English and he will be back next year to complete his studies. He is not the same. But the drive in him is the same if not stronger. He still believes. He still wants to serve the one true God with all he's got! He is alive and running with Christ, for Christ!!!
